Training Programmes

Training and professional development is an essential part of the Open House education offer. Our training for teachers and architects provides the tools to unlock the exciting potential of architecture as a learning experience and resource.

A key initiative in this area is the Architecture Education Network, created by Open House, which brings together teachers and architects to explore how architecture can be used to engage and inspire young people in learning.

Our most recent event, hosted by BDP in its Clerkenwell Studios in October 2009, offered a hands-on workshop exploring model-making techniques for young people, investigating and testing different methods of explaining and creating buildings from 2-D ideas to 3-D creations and helping participants develop their practical skills in working with young people in architecture.
